The Healthy Families Program-Service Area Map

Overview

Healthy Families is a state-wide home-visiting program available for first-time parents age 20 and under. Healthy Families services are provided from the beginning of the pregnancy until the child's third birthday, and is funded by the Children's Trust Fund.

Caring, experienced and highly-trained Family Support Advocates offer encouragement and support, and provide education relating to pregnancy, parenting health, and life skills issues. The program is free, voluntary, and confidential. Services are provided to the entire family - the child, young mother and father, as well as the extended family when appropriate. Family Support Advocates work with parents in helping them to meet their needs, to reach their goals, and to connect with resources in their communities.
