Our Facilities
Kennedy-Donovan Center School is an
eclectic facility that is warm, friendly, functional, spacious, and
climate controlled at all times. Originally the building was the
Swain School of Art, a division of the University of Massachusetts,
which consolidated with UMASS, when the Dartmouth Campus was
established in 1990.
 The site
later was donated to the Kennedy
Donavan Center, with the understanding that
the location would be used continuously as a school.
Housed in a 22,000 square
foot, fully handicapped- accessible building,
KDC School incorporates
a wide variety of special
accommodations to meet
the unique needs of our

WHY WE ARE WHERE WE ARE
We
are strategically
located in the downtown New Bedford area
so as to facilitate full inclusion
of our students in community
events as well as to provide access to hydrotherapy
and a wide variety of readily available
social and
recreational
opportunities that would not be
available to them from more
remote locations. |
