How You Can Help

Directions to KDC School

Friends and Supporters

The Kennedy-Donovan School community is forever grateful to dozens of people and organizations for their extraordinary generosity, which contributes enormously to the educational experience of our very special students.

This section of our website is a work in progress that will never be completed fully as we can never acknowledge them all, and never as well as we wish we could. But here we begin with just a few of our most generous supporters…

CVS most recently has committed to funding a technology initiative that - combined with Cameron’s Kids initiatives - will make KDC School among the most technologically advanced Special Education School anywhere!  Thanks CVS!

Debbie and Jeff Goulart of Cameron’s Kids

Through Cameron’s Kids, the Goularts provide KDC School with more than we ever could have hoped. Most recently, they partnered with the Travelers Companies to fund a much needed and highly desired bus of our very own!  It enables KDC students now to go about the community at will in safety and style.  Now Cameron’s Kids' is
collaborating with us to com-

pound the value of a recent CVS technology grant
to place state-of-the-art Audio/Visual equipment
in every KDC School classroom.

The Travelers Companies

The many fabulous people at Travelers not only matched donations with the Cameron’s Kids
program in order to enable us to purchase the
bus that you see above, but also they regularly volunteer their time and talents to assist and
interact with KDC students in community based projects and programs. Thanks to all the kind
people with big hearts at Travelers!

How do you place a dollar value on having 20 people show up and completely rebuild your gardens to make them accessible from wheel chairs and simultaneously refresh the entire landscaping scheme of the site!  Well, we can’t…other than  to say. "Wow!"

And now the Lowe's team says it is
coming back this year to “finish the job”!

Words alone cannot express our
appreciation to Lowe's and all the
wonderful folks who pitched in to make
this possible.  Our students love to
garden in their new "plots".

Sean McDonough - Well Spring Farms

The Sean McDonough Foundation is a very special friend of the students at the Kennedy-Donovan Center School. As a matter of fact, Mr. McDonough and his family’s foundation treat our kids to a unique learning experience available only on an animal farm.  Every week!  Simply stated, the McDonough Foundation sponsors a weekly field trip (weather permitting) to the extraordinary Wells Springs Farm located in Rochester, MA. Wells Spring Farms is an enchanting location that has modified the farming and husbandry experience in such a way as to afford even the most fragile students the familiarity of hands-on animal care and the sensory stimulation that goes along with
this experience. Sean McDonough may be a great sports announcer, but he is a lot
more than just talk!  Thanks to the McDonoughs for their incredible work!

More acknowledgements to come…!
