"Lifelong Learning Program" for When Your Child Turns 22

For persons with significant developmental disabilities, learning does not end at their 22nd birthday.  It continues throughout their lifetime.

Kennedy-Donovan Center established a Day Habilitation Program in 2008 to meet the needs of persons with developmental disabilities once they leave the educational system.

Drawing upon our well-documented success providing comprehensive educational and therapeutic services for students with the most acute needs in south eastern Massachusetts, our Day Habilitation Program serves clients with similar needs. The
unique and complex needs of these clients are most appropriately addressed through involvement in a community of caring and through the maintenance of relationships over time.

The Kennedy-Donovan Center Day Habilitation Program provides a comprehensive, managed program of therapies, developmental skills training, and assistance with he activities of daily living for adults with developmental disabilities.  This is done in the context of a warm, supportive, caring environment.

Recognizing that many participants have complex disabilities requiring comprehensive clinical and medical supports; the Kennedy-Donovan Center Day Habilitation Program provides the medical oversight and coordination of services necessary to assure participants' optimal well being and success in the community.
