PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

Kennedy-Donovan Center offers a full range of consumer and family-centered services to meet the needs of individuals and families throughout their life from pregnancy, infancy, childhood, adulthood and the elder years.

Annually, KDC serves nearly 4,000 children, youth and families with disabilities or who are at risk for developmental disabilities or delays in order to help them develop to their fullest potential. These services are individualized to each child's needs as well as the needs of the family, and are community-based, supporting their fullest participation in society.

Services for children include:

Early Intervention - serving children, birth to 36 months, at home who have or are at risk of development delays.
Early Intervention Partnerships - serving pregnant women whose children are at risk of poor health outcomes and delays.
Chapter 766 School - serving students 3 to 22 years of age with multiple disabilities.
Healthy Families - serving first-time parents age 21 or younger, until the child's third birthday.

Kennedy-Donovan Center also serves over 800 adults annually with support services individualized to each person's needs and are community-based, supporting their fullest participation in society. Our programs include the full spectrum of services and supports from drop-in services for individuals working in the community and living alone in their own homes, to group homes with twenty-four hour support seven days a week.

Services for Families:

Intensive Foster Care - finding children homes with families who have been trained to address their specific needs.
Family Support Services - individuals living with their families receive tailored services.
Healthy Families - serving first-time parents age 21 or younger, until the child's third birthday.

Services for Adults:

Individual Support - for adults living on their own in the community provides drop-in support services for daily life management. Transitional Job Support - assisting adults in finding and maintaining meaningful paid employment. Social Recreation Program - a family driven community-based program in the Blackstone Valley Area.

Residential Services include:

Supported Living - provide direct ongoing services and support to adults with disabilities living independently in their own homes. Supervised Living - provide twenty-four-hour seven-days-a-week support to adults living in groups of 2-4 in neighborhood homes. Shared Living - finding adults homes with families who have been trained to address their specific needs. Intensive Foster Care - finding children homes with families who have been trained to address their specific needs.
