The Caring Force Rally

THE CARING FORCE RALLY – May 2026

Kennedy-Donovan Center (KDC) was proud to support The Caring Force’s 14th-annual State House Rally, as well as the inaugural South Coast Rally (Westport, MA).

The Caring Force is a grassroots advocacy initiative of the Providers’ Council. Their mission is to create a stronger Massachusetts – one that protects its most vulnerable neighbors while ensuring human services workers receive the pay, recognition, and respect they deserve.

KDC team members joined advocates from across the region to raise awareness and champion the vital role of human services workers in maintaining high quality of life for every Massachusetts resident, regardless of circumstances. CEO Lisa Morgan emceed the South Coast Rally, speaking on behalf of the organization and its dedicated human services professionals.

The South Coast Caring Force Rally was a powerful reminder of what can happen when human services providers, advocates, and legislators come together around a shared purpose,” Morgan shared, when asked about KDC’s recent experience. The individuals and families we serve depend on a strong human services system, and that system depends on a workforce that is valued, supported, and fairly compensated. I was honored to emcee this inaugural rally and encouraged by the strong commitment our legislators continue to demonstrate for our sector and the communities we serve.”

In her speech, Amber noted, “Instead of feeling stuck or housebound, I’ve been encouraged and supported to go out, try new things, and be part of my community. That shift has improved not just my daily routine, but my confidence and outlook on life.” and Alexis stated, “KDC has also encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone by participating in new and exciting experiences.”

Like The Caring Force, KDC remains committed to advocating for all human service workers. The relationship these professionals build and the support that they provide make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities across Massachusetts.
