Bill and Ellen Goodchild

Bill and Ellen Goodchild

Bill and Ellen have been a part of the Kennedy-Donovan Center family for more than 25 years beginning with holiday gift deliveries along with their daughter, Lynn, and other volunteers. The staff, Ellen, her friends and Lynn developed a relationship that continues today.

When asked, “Why have you remained connected after all theses years?” Ellen and Bill speak to the great work KDC is doing for the children and families in the community. Ellen states, “KDC not only supports the child, staff make sure the whole family is being supported. From the parents, to the other siblings … KDC doesn’t want the siblings to feel left out, so they include everyone.” Bill and Ellen are impressed by the reputation of the program and feel good about giving their support.

It’s been more than 10 years since tragedy struck the Goodchild’s. Their beautiful daughter, Lynn was a passenger on United Flight 175 on September 11, 2001. Bill and Ellen, in honor of their daughter, transformed their heartbreak to something positive. They formed the Lynn Goodchild Memorial Fund. The memorial fund was established to assist Attleboro Early Intervention families in need. Lynn’s legacy will forever be a part of Kennedy-Donovan Center.
